Winter Showdown Triple Crown iRacing Series Set to Heat Up the Off-Season

Racing fans won’t have to wait until spring to get their fix of high-octane action. The Winter Showdown Triple Crown iRacing Series has officially been announced — three races, three different tracks, three different cars, and just one champion.

The virtual series will kick off its first event in January, followed by race two at the end of January or early February, before wrapping up with a championship-deciding finale two weeks prior to Motorama 2026. Each event will feature a unique car and track combination, which will be revealed at a later date.

Drivers will compete for not only bragging rights but also a purse and points fund that will be awarded at the conclusion of the series.

Series creator Jon Morrison shared his excitement about the launch:

“The goal of the Winter Showdown is to bring some excitement to the off-season and give racers and fans something to look forward to during the downtime. With different cars, different tracks, and a strong field, we should see some really good racing.”

The series is planning to stream all races live on YouTube, complete with a professional announcing team to deliver the action to fans worldwide.

Sponsorship opportunities are now available, ranging from event sponsors to points fund partners, with even a few special promotions

planned along the way.

Stay tuned for official track and car announcements in the coming weeks as the Winter Showdown Triple Crown iRacing Series gears up to crown its first champion.

Do you have what it takes to compete? Intent to compete forms will be available starting middle of November.
