As the 2025 Ontario Pro Challenge season approaches, Ten Pepin, the driver of the #54 John Bear Buick GMC St. Catharines entry, is entering the new year with determination and focus. Reflecting on last season’s lessons and honing her skills, Pepin is ready to hit the track with a clear goal: making 2025 her best season yet.
Preparing for Success in 2025
Looking ahead, Pepin’s plans for the upcoming season are all about preparation and refinement. “With the offseason almost in the rearview mirror, my plans heading into the 2025 season are all about preparation and refinement,” she shared. “I’m focused on improving my physical and mental strength, making sure I’m in the best possible shape for the challenges that come with this sport.” She emphasizes the importance of staying sharp, staying focused, and fine-tuning her driving abilities in order to be prepared for any challenges that arise on the track.

Goals for the Season
Pepin’s goals for the 2025 season reflect a commitment to continual growth. “My goals this season are to be faster, more consistent, and mentally stronger than ever,” she stated. “Every time I hit the track, I want to push myself to be better than I was the race before. If I can do that, the results will take care of themselves.” With an unwavering focus on improvement, Pepin is determined to sharpen her decision-making skills, maintain composure under pressure, and tackle each challenge head-on.
Excitement for the First Race and Meet the Drivers Night
One of the most anticipated moments for Pepin this year is the first race of the season. “It’s always an exciting time to get back on track and see how the offseason preparation pays off,” she said. “There’s something special about the energy of that first race—the anticipation, the challenge, and the opportunity to test everything I’ve worked on.” In addition, she’s eager to participate in Meet the Drivers Night, where she’ll support her dad and brother in the CVMs while also performing pit crew duties. “It’s always a great chance to connect with the community and get hyped for the season ahead!” Pepin said.

The Toughest Competitor: Herself
When asked about her toughest competitor, Pepin took a reflective approach. “My toughest competitor heading into this season is myself. No one holds me to a higher standard, and I’m always pushing to be better,” she explained. Pepin’s self-driven mentality motivates her to focus on her own performance, pushing beyond her limits while striving for consistency and smarter decisions behind the wheel.
Looking Forward to Sauble Speedway
Sauble Speedway, a standout venue from the 2024 season, is a track that Pepin is particularly excited to revisit. “I’m most looking forward to Sauble Speedway again this year! I attended that track in the 2024 season and it was easily my favourite,” she shared. Having finished third fastest last season, Pepin is eager to return, improve her performance, and test her skills once again on this challenging track.

Carrying Lessons from 2024 Into 2025
Pepin’s growth in 2024 is fueling her preparation for the upcoming season. “One thing I’m taking from 2024 into 2025 is how setbacks made me work harder and trust myself more,” she noted. Despite the challenges faced last season, Pepin is using those experiences to build resilience, trust her instincts, and stay confident behind the wheel. “Last season taught me a lot about my strengths, the areas I need to work on, and how to stay focused under pressure,” she added. With this mindset, Pepin is ready to approach each race in 2025 as an opportunity for growth.
