The 2025 Canadian Vintage Modified (CVM) season was one of perseverance and progress for young driver Jordan Ramsbottom, who piloted the iconic #84 LLB Racing machine throughout a year filled with both challenges and triumphs.

The season started on a difficult note, with a string of mechanical issues sidelining the team early in the campaign. “We had a very unfortunate start to our season with multiple mechanical failures,” Ramsbottom said. “But once we were able to get past that, we kept our heads down and focused on grinding out as many good finishes as possible.”
Despite the rough start, consistency and determination shone through in the back half of the season. Ramsbottom rated his year as a C+ overall, noting that the second half of the schedule showcased the true potential of the team. “If I could rate only the second half of the season, it would be a lot higher,” he admitted. “When we were able to run in the first half we had speed, but we also had misfortune.”

The highlight moment came when Ramsbottom captured his first career CVM feature win, etching his name among the series’ long list of historical winners. “Getting that first win was a blessing,” he said. “We definitely didn’t expect it to happen this year, but I’ve always been confident in my ability to make the most out of every opportunity the Lord gives me.”
As the off-season approaches, Ramsbottom is already focused on what’s next — both on and off the track. He will continue his studies at Fanshawe College in the Automotive Power Technician program, while also preparing for an ambitious return in 2026. “We’re planning major upgrades to the #84 CVM so we can come back next year and consistently fight for wins,” he explained. “My biggest goal for 2026 is to graduate college at the end of the summer and be ready for what’s shaping up to be an exciting season.”

Ramsbottom was also quick to express gratitude to those who made the 2025 season possible. “I have to start with Lisa Barton, LLB Racing, and the Barton family for asking me to drive the 84 car. Being able to watch that car race as a kid and now being asked to drive it is a feeling like no other,” he said. He also credited Carlisle Family Chiropractic and Dr. David Veeneman, Ron Easton at Oakville Trailers and Racin Stuff, BSquared Decals and Chuck Barton, JOMO Media, and Cottage Country Candy for their invaluable support.

He also extended thanks to his parents, Lori and Dean Ramsbottom, for their sacrifices, and to Uncle Larry Jackson for his mentorship. “Larry has taught me everything there is to know about a race car and helped me become the best driver I can be,” he said. Ramsbottom also recognized Flamboro Speedway for providing a great place to race and Grindstone Landscaping for sponsoring the CVM Series in 2025.
With a win under his belt, a strong second half of the season, and plenty of motivation heading into the next year, Ramsbottom and the #84 team are poised to be a force in 2026 — both in the garage and on the racetrack.
