Mother Nature Strikes Again
Once again, Mother Nature reminded us who’s in charge, raining out several events across Ontario. However, some tracks managed to dodge the downpours and keep the engines roaring.
Ohsweken Speedway successfully ran both World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car shows, while Delaware Speedway hosted its weekly program, including the season opener for the Ontario Sportsman Series. Sunset Speedway had to adjust its Spring Velocity weekend—moving Saturday's events to Sunday and pushing Sunday’s slate to August.
Unfortunately, cancellations rolled in early Saturday, with Peterborough Speedway, Full Throttle Motor Speedway, and Sauble Speedway all forced to cancel their opening nights. But it wasn’t a total wash—Flamboro Speedway and Brighton Speedway stayed dry long enough to let JoMo Media drivers hit the track!
Driver Spotlight – Cory Horne
We were hoping to catch the Cory Horne Racing team in action during Peterborough Speedway’s opening night, but the rain had other plans. Don’t worry—we’ll be back and ready to cover all the action when the Renegade Trucks fire up again!
