School is back in session, and we hope everyone had a smooth first week. Now, it’s time to head back to the track as two more speedways prepare to crown their 2025 champions.
Ohsweken Speedway will wrap up their championship night on Friday at the “Big O,” with all divisions competing. In the Crate Sprint division, JoMo Media driver Cam Thomson currently sits 11th in points, making 15 of 16 features this year and earning five top-10 finishes. In the 360 Sprints, with DJD Gear, Darren Dryden heads into the final points night in 6th place.
At Sauble Speedway, championship night will also take place Saturday. JoMo Media driver Ty Cavallin enters the weekend 2nd in Pro Late Model points, trailing leader Tom Gibbons by just 18 markers.
This weekend brings a change of plans for Jon. Originally scheduled to visit Flamboro Speedway with Michael Robinson III, motor issues will keep Michael sidelined. Instead, Jon will travel to Sunset Speedway to connect with Cole Burrows and the #63 Chase Contracting/Burrows Racing Super Stock. This will mark our second-to-last A Day At The Races episode for 2025.
We hope to see you at the track!
Driver Spotlight – LLB Racing
This week, we shine the spotlight on LLB Racing, a four-car operation that has experienced the full spectrum of racing in 2025—from checkers to wreckers. The team fields entries in Flamboro Speedway’s Mini Stock and Pure Stock divisions, along with two cars in the Grindstone Landscaping Canadian Vintage Modifieds.
Cam Thomson has had a busy season, often doubling up by driving both the Pure Stock and the CVM.
Chris Pendlebury has been steady in the Mini Stock, with two top-five finishes last weekend, including a season-best 3rd place.
Jordan Ramsbottom celebrated his first-ever Canadian Vintage Modifieds win this past weekend in the #84.
This Saturday, only the Pure Stock and Mini Stock will compete at Flamboro Speedway as the track hosts its annual Memorial & Fan Appreciation Night, capped off with a fan-favorite Corn Roast.
