The work week is officially in the rearview – it’s time to go racing! This weekend promises a packed schedule across the province, despite an early interruption from Mother Nature. The NASCAR Canada Series event at Sunset Speedway has been postponed, but there’s still plenty of action lined up at tracks across Ontario.
On the Road with Jon – Merrittville Speedway
This weekend, Jon will be following the Southern Ontario Sprints Series at Merrittville Speedway, where Darren Dryden and his #12DD 360 Sprint Car will be taking to the dirt. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes coverage and updates from the pits.
🔦 Driver Spotlight: Ty Cavallin – Pro Late Model Standout
One of Sauble Speedway’s top Pro Late Model drivers, Ty Cavallin has made consistency his calling card.
2024 Season: 1 win, several top-five finishes, and a 2nd-place finish in overall points.
2025 Season: Off to a strong start with two consecutive 2nd-place finishes, including the fastest qualifying lap on opening night.
Ty now turns his focus to one of the most anticipated events of the summer – the 1st Annual Jeff Cassidy Memorial. This 75-lap invitational, offering $7,500 to the winner, will bring some of the province’s top Pro Late Model talent to Sauble. Ty is eager to take the next step and land atop the podium.
