The 2025 season was one to remember for seven-year-old racer Cillian Collins, who impressed fans and competitors alike in the Junior Sprints at Grand Bend Motor Speedway. Despite being one of the youngest drivers in a division featuring racers as old as 14, Cillian showcased remarkable consistency, determination, and heart throughout the year.
“We had our challenges,” Collins said. “From motor and setup issues to even battling heat stroke, it wasn’t always easy—but we kept pushing.” That perseverance paid off, earning him 5th place in points in the Pine Dale Motor Inn Sprints, along with three B-Main wins and a personal best lap time of 16.006 seconds, nearly two seconds faster than his early-season pace.

When asked to grade his season, Cillian modestly gave himself a C, emphasizing his commitment to improvement. “Even though we had a good season, there’s always room for learning and getting better,” he said.
The offseason will be anything but quiet for the young driver and his team. A complete teardown and rebuild is already underway, including a fresh motor, potential color change, and possibly welcoming new marketing partners. Looking ahead to 2026, Cillian and his team aim to apply everything they’ve learned to take another big step forward.

“The highlight for me is what our team accomplished,” Collins added. “We’re a small team with big hopes, dreams, and aspirations. We take pride in consistency and racing with respect—a win means nothing if you don’t have the respect of your fellow racers.”
Cillian extended heartfelt thanks to his family and supporters, including his parents, siblings, fans, and dedicated marketing partners:Trijan Industries, Dr. John O’Mahony, Medastetics, Arkona Dental, Ray-Mac Auto Parts, Ligate Signs and Marketing, Stickers and Stuff, JoMo Media, and Lift the Visor.
With his positive attitude, growing skillset, and family-driven team, there’s no doubt that Cillian Collins is a name to watch as he continues to rise through the ranks of grassroots racing.
